Delaware County Historical Association to Offer “Introduction to Felting” Workshop

Saturday March 8, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday March 8, 2014 the Delaware County Historical Association will offer an afternoon workshop on the basics of felting. The workshop will begin at 1 p.m. and continue to approximately 4:30 p.m. Adults and teens alike are encouraged to come learn the basics of felting. No prior experience is necessary for participants of this beginner’s felting class, taught by Jill Cline of the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild. This class will give a brief history and demystify the felting process. The ancient process begins with raw fleece, a little soap and water and a lot of agitation. Participants may create a scarf, table runner or small hat.

Registration required by March 1st. Cost $50.00 per person (includes $15 materials fee).
