Delaware County Historical Association Annual Meeting 2010

The Delaware County Historical Society will be hosting their annual meeting on Sunday, November 7th at 2pm at their Delhi location - 46549 State Highway 10 east of the village. A brief business meeting followed by a film of John Burroughs the creator of the nature essay, who was born and raised in nearby Roxbury. Coffee, tea and sweets will be served at the meeting. The film to be shown is John Burroughs: a Naturalist In the Industrial Age. A film by Lynn Spangler with contributions by descendants and biographers. Woodchuck Lodge, Burroughs’ 1862 boyhood home and where he spent the last 10 summers of his life, kindled his passion for the living world.
