Historical Society Seeks Outdoor Recreation Exhibit Items

The Historical Society of the Town of Middletown (HSM) needs the public’s help in putting together an exhibit about how folks in Middletown and surrounding areas have enjoyed “The Great Outdoors.”

Photos, advertisements, brochures and other materials on fishing, hunting, boating, biking, hiking, camping, skating, skiing, team sports, lawn games and any other outdoor pursuit are sought.

Images can come from any era, including the present, and may reflect any season in the Town of Middletown, or nearby areas, such as Halcott, Denver-Vega or Hardenburgh.

Call Diane Galusha (845-586-4973; .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) if you have something you’d like to contribute. Photos will be scanned and returned quickly.

The exhibit will be displayed at HSM’s new hall, in tribute to its builders, the Catskill Mountain Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, a conservationist group of avid anglers and outdoor lovers.
